Thottil is a non-governmental organization (NGO) dedicated to social welfare initiatives and community support. Donations and sponsorships made to Thottil directly contribute to our programs and beneficiaries. We value the trust and generosity of our donors and are committed to maintaining transparency in all financial matters.
- Donations made to Thottil are refundable only under specific circumstances, as outlined below.
- Refund requests must be submitted within 7 days from the date of donation.
- Duplicate or multiple donations made unintentionally
- Incorrect donation amount due to technical or human error
- Transaction failure where the amount was debited but the donation was not successfully recorded
Once the donated amount has been allocated or utilized for program activities, it may not be eligible for refund.
- Sponsorship contributions are refundable only if the refund request is made before the funds are allocated or utilized for the intended beneficiary or program.
- If sponsorship funds have already been assigned or expenses incurred, the refund request may not be approved.
- In the event of a duplicate payment, incorrect charge, or technical error, donors may request a refund within 7 days of the transaction date.
- All such requests will be reviewed, and refunds will be processed after verification.
- Fees paid for NGO events, campaigns, or fundraising activities are refundable only if the event is canceled by Thottil.
- If an event is canceled, the registration amount will be refunded or adjusted toward a future event, as applicable.
- Approved refunds will be processed within 7–14 business days through NEFT payment.
- Payment gateway charges, bank fees, or administrative costs, if applicable, may be deducted from the refundable amount.
- If a donation receipt or tax exemption certificate (if applicable) has already been issued, refund requests may be subject to additional verification or may not be permitted as per applicable laws and regulations.
